FIELD TESTS SUMMARY

The following are summaries of FPC field tests in major Australian and US industries.

Mining

Field tests conducted by means of International Engineering procedures at both Australian and USA mines, performed on mobile mine equipment and stationary power generation plant, document FPC’s ability to improve fuel economy and reduce carbon build-up on engine components. Fuel economy improvements range from 2% to 8% with reduction in exhaust smoke of up to 50%. Engine overhauls show the virtual elimination of hard carbon build-up.

Trucking

Field tests in all types of trucking fleets and operating types document fuel savings of 4% to 8% when using FPC treated diesel fuel. Carbon deposit on engine components is virtually eliminated with long-term use. Oil analysis reveals extended useable oil life as soot and metallic content of the oil is reduced with continued FPC use. Exhaust smoke is also significantly reduced.

Marine

Testing in diesel powered motorships with crosshead and trunk piston engines have shown the addition of FPC creates fuel savings of 3% to 5%. These same studies also reveal that continued FPC use lowers head temperature and increases head and valve life.

Locomotive

Fuel efficiency tests in large railroad operation’s locomotives operating throughout Australia have also documented fuel economy improvements in the 2 to 5% region when using FPC treated diesel. Further, heavy smoke emissions are reduced and in the USA problematic stack fires virtually eliminated.

Bus/Transit Operations

Long-term tests in bus fleets show FPC improves fuel economy and reduces smoke emissions. Fuel savings range from 4% to 8%.
